This is a guide about fixing/setting initial standings - something all of you should be familiar with to some degree I imagine. Thankfully, it’s really simple.
Your Triglavian Collective Standing needs to be at any positive value (so 0.01 or above) - neutral is NOT enough for OBS (Observatory Flashpoint) fleets! This is important because otherwise the NPC Zirnitra inside the site will decide to shoot you, Logi will rep you, Logi will then take and spread aggro through the entire logi wing. This will kill us.
In Order to check your standing (you might have already done this, perhaps even by accident) go to your Character Sheet
-> Interactions
-> Standings
and search for “Triglavian Collective”
The easiest way to improve standings is to take a ship to Pochven and shoot either:
a) Rogue Drones
b) Sleepers
c) Drifters
d) EDENCOM
Generally a & b are the preferred options. Drones give a lot less standing, but are way easier to kill so if you are entirely neutral and only need a tiny tick, drones will do! Sleepers are a bit harder to kill but generally give a lot more standing.
Drifters will generally wreck your shit especially since Doomsday drifters exist in Pochven that will one-shot all but very few select ship fittings in the game.
Shooting EDENCOM is an option, but they can escalate pretty hard and have a lot more EWAR so it can be quite annoying.
Okay, how do I go shoot these things?
If you are solo and in Poch for the first time, have no clue what you are doing and need to do some traveling then there are a few characteristics I would recommend:
a) <4s align time
b) >60-70k range
c) >200 dps
d) A little bit of EHP
Your goal is to land on a site at range, all NPCs will either approach or warp to you (yes they do that here), you want to blap one at range while being outside of DPS range and warp off.
Additionally, having a low align time makes it much harder for you to be ganked. Some examples of ships that can do this relatively cheaply: Jackdaw, Caracal, Rail ENI. More expensive options are cloaky, nullified T3Cs, Phantasms, etc.
Its much easier to do in a group! If you get 4-5 friends something like RR Spidertank Vexors of Cyclone Fleets will do great.
The no effort route is probably grabbing FL33T’s NVY-5 ENI and replacing the web and point with a tracking computer and sensor boosters.
The standard NVY-30 Talwar fit should be fine for shooting rogue drones to get minimal standings.
The easiest bit. I recommend buying a Cladistic-5 'Krai Svarog’ Filament, warp to a dead-space safe with yourself in a fleet all by your lonesome and activate it. You will land in one of the nine. systems belonging to the “Svarog” Clade.
I also highly recommend bringing a Proximity-5 'Extraction' Filament for easy exit.
Okay, a little explanation about Pochven. The entire thing is a giant pipe in which the vast majority of systems have only two connections. Be aware of this. It means it’s very easy for groups chasing you to get ahead of you, bubble gates, etc. Always D-scan a gate before warping to it, if its not in range, warp to a celestial in range and D-scan. Basically pretend it’s like you’re in Low-Sec and you know there might be a smartbomb camp on every outgate.
The sites we are looking for are called: “Torpid Sleeper Hive” for the more difficult, higher standings ones and “Incipient Drone Swarm” for the lesser ones. Try to stick around the Raravoss region since that will most likely be our staging for the near future and has the quickest extraction back to Sosala. You will find them in your Probe Scanner, just like FW PLEXes! They do not have acceleration gates, so be ready to do something on landing.
Found a site? Great. Warp at 100, align out to something, cycle your prop-mod if needed to keep distance from the rats. Be ready to warp out if they land a wrecking shot or they got too close. Start by shooting something small like a Frigate or Cruiser to ensure you get a kill. Once you’ve killed one thing, you can warp off!
You only get 1 standings tick every 20 minutes per system and it takes the highest “standing value” thing you killed into account. So if you’ve killed a cruiser in one site, you can either dock up if all you needed is to go from 0.00 to 0.01 or keep looking for another site and come back to the first one later.
Depending on what you want to do, now you either wait, or do whatever. There’s a few options for extraction once you’ve hit 0.01
A: Leave ship in Pochven for the future
B: Extract back to Sosala
C: Ask -RUDE for a scan
Congrats! You did a thing! You stepped into the unknown and set a path for your future or some melodramatic shit!
Zorya will now let you milk EDENCOM dreads for money without being up your ass about it. Aka you can come on OBS fleets now, great success.
IF YOU NEED HELP WITH ANY OF THIS, REACH OUT TO ANY -RUDE MEMBER AND WE CAN COACH YOU THROUGH IT OR GRAB A SHIP AND DO IT ALONGSIDE YOU!
